"Continental". This is the name of a new luxury hotel, which is planned to be built on the site of an old building where no one lives. Except for one homeless man hiding in the basement. When the special services try to evict him from there, the man commits suicide in despair. For the bailiff who witnessed the suicide, this story became a personal moral challenge. Trying to cope with the guilt that persists, she seeks words of support from her family, friends, a priest and even casual conversationalists, but instead discovers the painful cracks of modern Romanian society. In this story, Jude also finds a place to talk about the war in Ukraine, weaving it into the broader context of modern European reality.
